of Fine Arts
The Musée des Beaux-Arts de Tourcoing, or MUba to its friends, is a haven for lovers of contemporary art in Tourcoing. Housed in a magnificent mansion dating from 1866, the building itself is a sight to behold, so sublime is it. Easily accessible, it is located in the centre of Tourcoing, not far from the town hall.
Open every day, it offers visitors a wide range of contemporary art, from temporary to permanent exhibitions, at a reasonable price of €8.
This Tourcoing museum was created in 1860 and has grown over the years under the influence of Charles Roussel-Defontaine, who was mayor of the town from 1857 to 1879.
/ The garden
botany
Created in 1917 on Emile Leplat's land, the Tourcoing botanical garden is now home to a wide variety of plants. A horticultural museum, a formal garden, an English garden and 1,200m2 of educational greenhouses bring this magnificent botanical garden to life, providing a veritable sanctuary for all these plants.
